A reader sends in a link to a YouTube item that she would like us to share with everyone to brighten these recessionary days. While we are reluctant to sow discontent among the lower orders, it turns out to be a very droll and catchy ditty that we may recommend to the Skopelos Community Choir to include in its upcoming rehearsals. Recorded by the Austerity All-Stars in what looks like a village hall or pub – All-Stars members can be seen lubricating their vocal cords with modest glasses of ale – it is PC enough to be multiracial and also gender-orientation inclusive, and if you watch carefully you also can learn how to be rude to the rich in sign language. Although this is a family website disinclined to expose readers to profanity, you can see the three-minute video here.
More rude words about rich people

I like the “except Tony Benn” part.
I’ll bet if you looked around you’d find politicians who are trying to do good. The problem is that the banks and the large corporations call the shots and, in the face of the avalanche of money that is used to game the system, it is nearly impossible for a politician to do anything in opposition.
