Some nice Friday!

Pouring rain with wind greeted our bright and shiny faces this morning. As curious as ever, we risked everything and drove around looking for an appropriate disaster to share with our readers. No such luck. However we (We=Tom in this instance) passed by the bridge recently unplugged by the army to see the results.

These photos show the bridge functioning though the water passing under is theoretically supposed to go somewhere. It goes about 75 meters beyond and stops. Most likely there is still blockage in the underground channel downstream.

Mama Mia from ABBA in ancient Greek.

Students of the University of Auckland in New Zealand decided to produce a totally different version of the popular song. They are members of the Association of Classical Studies, they used their knowledge and interpreted the song in ancient Greek!
