‘Visitors to start large-scale fishing on Greek island’ …
Actually, ’Leez (don’t you just hate it when people call you ’Leez?), plenty of tourists in fact do go fishing while on holiday here, and I believe at least one sport activity shop, the amusingly mis-spelled Top Gan, sells rods and stuff.
Hi John. I was actually referring to the larger (in size) scales of the fish. The bigger the scales, the bigger (usually) the fish.
The fish with the green and orange/red stripes is too beautiful to eat! What is it called? Any Sardella or Gavros amongst the catch?
My reliable unreliable source tells me the biggest customer of Top Gan is a very elderly fisherwoman. The owner decided to show his gratitude by ‘naming’ the shop after her but only realized the spelling mistake after he stepped off the ladder to answer the phone…
Some info about the “catch” might be interesting.
Hook, line and sinker? Net? Professional or amateur angler?
It appears to my eye as this collection is mostly small fish as the brightly colored Parrotfish relatives are seldom more than 4-6 inches (10-15cm).
What happens in the kitchen? Cleaned and broiled, fried or baked?
