So what was wrong with lilac?
This really was a coincidence: as we prowl past Barramares daily sniffing for signs that it might be reopening soon, we find Vassilis, Johnny and friends repainting the furniture in a radical departure from its earlier and, for some, controversial, lilac, with a green-tinged white. Vassilis says he will be reopening in two weeks.

Meanwhile, heading over to Agnontas, we found Thanasis at Pablos repainting his chairs (with, we have to confess, a spooky hint of lilac) in preparation for reopening on March 14. Whatever the colour, we’ll be in the mob that invades Pablos come rain or shine that day.
