Imagine our surprise, having announced that the roadworks from the post office to Plateia Platanos were almost finished, to find major roadworks again underway on the other side of the square on Thursday morning. The amount of water pouring out of the square, and the heavy excavations in the roadway outside the Kochilis bakery, suggest this may be an emergency plumbing job. Motorists and pedestrians should, as they say, expect major disruptions, and our sympathies go out to Spiros, heroic delivery guy for the Provias supermarket around the corner.
