When a friend asked a couple of days ago what he could bring to a “party” I answered him :”bring a basilicum plant” It is a plant that many Greeks will have around the house, in a window sill, in a reception area and will tend to it like it is their child. It brings luck. You either buy a small plant and tend to it or you buy a full-grown plant, which is of course easier. This truck drives around the ring road and can be found in the harbor too. I (Daphne) personally like the sunflowers!
