Last Sundays walk saw 13 hikers brave the difficult drive to Kalogeros to reach the starting point to Vathias beach. The walk down was one of the most scenic they have walked and once at the sea, four immediately took to the waters.
With the blue checked table cloth and an amazing picnic laid out in the shelter of the beach cave the scramblers had enough sustenance to enable them to hike back to the winding path to the top.
This Sunday the Scramblers will gather at 10.30 am at the National Bank to organise transport to up and beyond the monasteries where the goal is the Ag Anna Track and further. A shared picnic will be dominate the half way mark while looking over our neighbouring island of Alonissos.
All are welcome to join the walk but if anyone does not have transport please contact Muriel 24240 24732
