Ferries and ships will remain docked as Greece’s seamen federation PNO has announced it will launch a 48-hour strike on December 10-11, 2021. The strike will affect all categories of ships.
It will start at 00:01 on Friday, December 10 and end at midnight Saturday, December 11, 2021.
According to a statement issued by the Panhellenic Seamen’s Federation (PNO), seamen demand wage increases in the collective bargaining agreements for 2020-2021 and solutions to problems relating to social insurance, pensions, education, unemployment, undeclared work and many others.

Do they, the seamen get anywhere with these strikes, other than complicate lives of inhabitants and tourists?
2010,the first year we visited Skopelos, and purchased our home, was the 1and only year that there were no disruptions, all connections were clockwork from Canada. Should have waited another year. Since that 1st visit, it takes minimum 2 days to get to our Glossa.
Only if…
We (normally) travel out in late March or early April, before the tourist-season air/ferry timetables start so it takes us three days just from the UK, but we regard our stopovers in Athens and Skiathos as part of the holiday, so my advice would be “relax and enjoy the journey”.
