Spotted in the old harbor. A couple of new waste bins for plastic !! paper !! and other waste that is recyclable . There is also a press for the normal waste so it does not need to be collected so often by the municipality. Slowly slowly more of these bins will be placed on the island. If you see one please send me a photo with the location!

Whilst recycling is to be commended the siting of the bins in the future will hopefully be well thought through. If more and more bins are placed in the old harbour area they could become an eye sore – I’m not so sure Ta Kimata restaurant and Blue Sea cafe will be so delighted to see those bins as they are large and unattractive and will attract dirt and mess. Maybe there is a better less obvious location for them?
The other bins will be placed all over the island.
Do you know when the plastic and paper container will be in Glossa too ?
And where will they be located ? We are looking to use them as soon as possible. Much too much plastic bottles are in the regualr waste till now !
This gives you effectively the best of both worlds.
