Atmospherics from Friday night

This photo is from the other night so it doesn’t fit into the “daily news” category. We’ll find a place for it. Out for a dog watering at about midnight Friday/Saturday we were struck with all the moisture in the air. This time (for once) there was no rain, in fact in sky was clear and starry, yet down below the village was enveloped in fog. The photos were taken at close to 100 meters above the sea and must have been at the very top edge of the cloud bank. The local streetlight was oscillating from fog to no fog.
The top photo shows the fog and the clear shy (that’s a star in the upper left quadrant). The photo below is trying to show the fog in strong light.
